Objective

The aim of the nTACS Project is to deliver modern technologies that will fill existing and anticipated Tac Avn capability gaps in Aerial Firepower, C4ISR, Mobility, and Support to SOF. It will also support credible continental defence and deterrence, provide disaster and emergency response, and enable expeditionary operations with joint and allied partners, including against threats from militaries with advanced capabilities.

Requirements

The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) requires a Next Tactical Aviation Capability Set (nTACS) to fill tactical aviation (Tac Avn) capability gaps in Aerial Firepower, Command, Control, Communications, Computers Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR), Mobility and Support to Special Operations Forces (SOF) to enable future joint and allied operations within a balanced fleet. The project will provide airframes, and network systems and subsystems. It will provide direct support, including required infrastructure, training (incl training systems) and Integrated Logisitics Support and Inital In-Service Support.
