Objective
This project will provide to Canadian Forces Health Services (CFHS) Bagotville with the operational capability they need to carry out their mission to provide services to prepare, protect, and sustain force health to ensure readiness for and successful achievement of core CAF. The aim of the project is to provide adequate accommodation for CFHS Bagotville with a new Health Care Centre (HCC) with a gross surface area of 5,993 m2 and demolish the main building (B66) and the Tank storage building (B160) (2.050m +2m) totalling 2052 m2.
Requirements
Facilities that comply with health and safety standards and are adapted to users’ activities. Facilities adapted to the principles of force protection and security (zones of increasing protection and access control); and the Canadian Forces Health Services Groupe (CF H Svcs Gp) modernization strategy will position the organization for continuous change and emerging threats. The aim is to ensure that the Cf H Svcs Gp is able to meet the many challenges of our turbulent environment. It emphasizes the multi-horizon modernization effort and is fully integrated into the “SSE” defence policy. Completion of this project will contribute to achieving Government of Canada priorities, DND’s strategic vision for real estate operations and management, and compliance with existing real estate management policy statements. The following paragraphs set out the links between the project and the government’s priorities.
