Objective
The Polar Over The Horizon Radar (P-OTHR) initiative will provide long-range surveillance of Canadian territory and surrounding areas within the Arctic Circle by establishing a high-frequency (HF) Over The Horizon Radar (OTHR) system in the High Arctic.
Requirements
P-OTHR will detect airborne and surface maritime objects, at very long ranges, day and night to provide NORAD with a wide-area survelliance capability across the Arctic Circle.
